Bannock County Landfill Gas to Energy Project

Bannock County's Fort Hall Mine Road Landfill contains approximately 2.5 million tons of solid waste which will generate roughly 1.6 megawatts of electricity starting in January 2014.

The four phased project consists of 1) Flare and Blower Procurement completed November 2012, 2) Landfill Gas Well Construction completed July 2012, 3) LFG Collection System and Site Work completed August 2012, and 4) Generator installation completed April 2014.
